Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM
St Paul United Methodist Church, Lincoln, NE

This collaborative concert will feature guest organist members of the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the Lincoln Home School Choir under the direction of Dr. John Friesen. A student of Franck and Widor, Vierne composed organ works considered to be brilliantly effective and served as organist in Notre- Dame Cathedral in Paris. George Manos is a contemporary American composer who taught and composed in Wilmington, Delaware. Neither of these masses are often heard. The AGO guild members also will perform solo organ compositions on the 49 rank Bediant pipe organ in the Saint Paul sanctuary.
